When the ingredients are superb cuisine, fine wine, awe-inspiring views and stimulating conversation, you can be sure your dining experience will be a memorable one.

A  four-course table d'hote evening meal is offered by arrangement at NZD $115 per person (excluding Wed & Sun). If you would like to dine with us please advise prior to arrival.

Rick is the chef and designs a daily menu which can be adjusted to suit dietary requirements with advance notice.

As a guideline, guests meet on the deck or in front of the fire for complimentary pre-dinner drinks and canapes which are served around 7-7.30pm and dining around 7.30-8pm. Guests generally dine together but we can offer a private dining option if required.

If you are arriving on ‘chef’s night off’ we would be happy to recommend or suggest some of the many dining options in Taupo. Taupo serves up a fine array of brasseries, cafes and restaurants and we're happy to make arrangements on your behalf.

Our love of good food and wine has taken us around the world and fuelled our passion for sourcing and using the best New Zealand has to offer.

Rick has a long history in restaurant ownership and cuisine.  He continues to be passionate about the dining experience.  His emphasis is on using the freshest produce selected daily from local providers, our own garden or high quality producers throughout New Zealand to ensure that the best and freshest ingredients are used.

Rick’s years in the wine and hospitality industries will ensure that the wine you choose to accompany your meal will be one from a carefully selected cellar.
